If you receive this error:

OE removed access to these unsafe files

or

Attachments appear greyed out when you try to select them.

Newer versions of Outlook Express contain a feature intended to give you the option of selecting NOT to allow attachments to be opened that could potentially be a virus.

Here's how to disable it:

1. Open Outlook Express and select the Tools Menu (top) and then Options.

2. On the next screen, click the Security Tab and remove the check mark in the box next to "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus".

3. Click Apply and OK.
